Born on the 4th of July, this cache has an amazing view from Santa Barbara to Goleta.
Visible on a clear day are sites like the Santa Barbara Harbor, Lower and Upper State Streets, More Mesa, Elings Park, the Douglas Preserve, UCSB, and four of the Channel Islands.
Originally we planned to call this cache “Oh what a view” but since we planted it on the 4th of July, we decided a themed name was more appropriate. Especially, since we stayed at the cache location to watch two separate fireworks displays.
The cache is an aspirin bottle hidden at the provided way point. This is a popular area for hikers and dogs walkers. Please take care to hide the cache exactly as you found it so it is not visible.
Cache contains a log, pencil, and some small swag.
