Geocache Description:

Cache is at the trailhead of Link Lake. Drive 18.5 miles north on HWY 93 from Whitefish, turn right on Upper Whitefish Lake Road between mile marker 145 and 146. To reach the trailhead you must drive approx 18 miles of gravel road.  Link Lake Road is #589 follow it for approx 1.5 miles. This is a seasonal cache.  In the spring and summer be sure to bring your bug spray.  4WD not necessary but helpful.  Dogs Welcome.

The cache is a lock and lock box full of swag.

This cache is best accessed late May thru November. You may encounter snow. There were a few patches on the trail and around when we placed the cache in July. The hike to Link Lake is definitely worth the drive and the effort. You will be rewarded with wildflowers, pristine water and amazing views and another cache.
