West Hampstead is a very interesting area because on the same street there are three train stations on three different lines. The companies that run trains on these lines are Thameslink, London Overground and the London Underground, Jubilee Line.
The West Hampstead Fire Station was opened in 1901 and is a grade 2 listed building.It is still operating today, responding to over two thousand emergency calls a year. Its service area covers 12 square miles (31 km2), including Hampstead, West Hampstead, Kilburn, Cricklewood and parts of Golders Green.
