Thank a Vet #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.
If the owner would like to discuss this issue, please contact me through my geocaching.com profile. Include the GC code for the cache.

Geocache Description:

UPDATE: *NEW LOCATION & CONTAINER! IGNORE PIC OF PAST CONTAINER!* This cache is located at Nansemond Veterinary Clinic in Suffolk, VA. Please park in the spaces most distant from the clinic entrance as not to impede on parking availability for clients. This cache is available 24/7. The area is often very busy with lots of muggles so use stealth mode. This cache has been relocated due to it being muggled and a strong dislike for holly! BYOP

“Thank A Vet” Geocache Series

This series of geocaches have been placed to memorialize the life of Dr. Ruth Ann MacQueen.

Dr. Ruth Ann MacQueen founded Midway Veterinary Hospital in Chesapeake, Virginia over 25 years ago.   She was a lover of all animals and continuously went above and beyond to help her clients, as well as, those in the community in which she served.  She always accepted animals into her practice that were in need of medical attention, which had been either abandoned or rescued by local animal control.

Dr. Ruth Ann MacQueen was my cockatoo’s vet since I moved to Virginia in 2005 and she had guided me through the many growing pains of raising an exotic bird.

She was killed in a head on vehicle accident on November 15, 2012 on her way to visit her 90 year old mother before going into the office.  On that day, the world became a little darker because it had lost one of the brightest shining stars I had ever had the privilege of encountering.  Ruth Ann, you will be forever missed by my family.
