1st of August Event Cache

Event time - 6pm to 6:15pm

Let’s start the first week of 31 Days of Caching in August. Get your first of a possible 31 Souvenirs. You may celebrate anything you want for five (5) to ten (10) minutes. Maybe you’d like to remember that on August 1, 1941 the first Jeep rolled of the assembly line for the US Army. Or it was the first full day of looking for Jimmy Hoffa after his disappearance the day before on July 31, 1975

Other events in time that you could celebrate:

• 30 BC – Octavian (later known as Augustus) enters Alexandria, Egypt, bringing it under the control of the Roman Republic.
• 1192 – Richard the Lionheart landed on Jaffa and defeated the army of Saladin
• 1801 – First Barbary War: The American schooner USS Enterprise captures the Tripolitan polacca Tripoli in a single-ship action off the coast of modern-day Libya.
• 1876 – Colorado is admitted as the 38th U.S. state.
• 1957 – The United States and Canada form the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD)
• Or merely that the August 1 is the 213th day of the year.

The coordinates take you to a parking area that is only 50feet to a Starbucks and a Orange Leaf I will stick around until 7:00 for those that work late.
