VPS10 John Tyler Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

IOWAChupacabra: Ground zero of this cache has been razed/clear cut/graded. Thus all beacons were removed, as well as the cache containers. (A recent cacher confirmed the status.)

It's been a fun ride, but we now have to archive.

Geocache Description:

10th in the VIce-Presidential Series.

John Tyler was the 10th VIce-President and the 10th US President.  He previously served in both houses of Congress and had been Governor of Virginia.  He served under William Henry Harrison. Following the death of Harrison on April 4, 1841, only a month after his inauguration, a short Constitutional crisis arose over the process for succession.  Tyler immediately moved into the White House, took the oath of office, and assumed full presidential powers, a precedent that would govern future successions and eventually be codified in the 25th Amendment.

Nothing too difficult here with the cache.  Be safe.  Have fun!

** A note from IowaChupacabra: Hello! I am attempting to maintain Blue Grass Tom’s geocaches. Have fun as you travel and explore up and down these Iowa back country roads to find the geocaches in this series. As you do so, if you happen upon a wet log, torn bag, or cracked/damaged/missing container, and graciously make the choice to add/replace paper/bag or change out/replace a container, I would certainly appreciate it and Thank You for the help. I attempt to make a run through the area every few months to fix the problems noted in the logs, but there’s always something! Thank You!
