The Groth Nature Preserve was designated in 1997 through the efforts of Doris Groth Troxel, among others. 28 acres have been set aside for public use as an education resource.
This cache qualified for the 2013 Battle Ground Geocoin Challenge but all Geocoins have been handed out! Look for 2014 and future challenges for more geocoins. The codeword can still be used for the 2013 Bonus Cache, though.
Getting to this cache location is a bit tricky since public access is a bit limited. The best way I found was to park at the end of 97th Ave and walk through the field to the forest. Once you see the sign, you are on the right track. This is a hidden gem of the Battle Ground surrounding area and the walk to the cache should be quite easy and enjoyable. Cache is a small lock and lock hidden about 15 feet off the trail. Coordinates can be quite spotty, so feel free to use the hint.
