The 2nd cache in a series of 4 'botanically incorrect' caches
Please BRING A PEN! ![](http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile.gif)
Chimeras (pron. Ki-mer-as) in botany are usually single organisms composed of two genetically different types of tissue, generally produced as either a result of mutation during ordinary cell division, genetic engineering or grafting.
The series is located along the shared cycleway and open space near Gungahlin Drive between Ngunnawal and Nicholls. The area is a haven to many species of both water and tree dwelling birds, as well as several species of frogs.
Caches 1 & 2 are located in the open space area (if biking, you may need to walk it to these), whereas 3 & 4 are nearby the cycleway. Please be alert to muggles!!
If travelling by car, PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON GUNGAHLIN DRIVE!! It is way too busy and you would be risking an accident. Instead, park at a nearby side street and take the short walk to the caches.
Also please stay clear of the drain in the middle, particularly when raining as the water level can be quite high and fast flowing (watch the geokiddies!!).
Happy caching! ![](http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif)
