Grandpa HATCHS little trip Traditional Cache

What started out in koosherem Utah as a quick trip to Richfield turned into an 8 hour destination across Monroe mountain

When I was 10 years old staying with my grandfather in koosherem where they lived with my younger brother and cousin, our time spent there was carefree and fun. One day my grandfather George smith hatch asked if we would like to go to Richfield to McDonald's for lunch. Of course three kids with an infinity for McDonald's food said oh ya we are so there. My grandfather wanted to go hunting for cedar trees which he harvested to make cedar chests, so his way to Richfield was over Monroe mountain. We headed out on our journey across the mountain on a small dirt road in a 2 wheel drive ford f-150 which I still own to this day. Our journey was long and took us a while to reach our destination. Needless to say we did not get lunch from McDonald's but instead we had dinner. Partly because my grandfather never went over 5 miles per hour. It was the longest day of my life
