Akadake Kosen Lodge
Yatsugatake is one of celebrated mountains in Japan. It located in Nagano prefecture mainly. It is also one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan selected by Fukada Kyuya. The ridgeline is approximately 30km from north to south. Actually, there are some peaks along it. It is the place that is full of nature through the four seasons. There are several views on the origin of the name. For example, there are many peaks resulting in the "八" which means "many" in Japanese. Another says there are obvious eight (八) peaks.
By the way, I placed the cache near the Akadake Kosen Lodge. It is beside a trail to the Mt. Iou.

赤岳鉱泉
八ヶ岳は、日本を代表する名山です。日本百名山の一つでもあります。この山は南北に長く、約30kmあり、いくつかのピークで構成されています。四季を通して自然と触れ合える素晴らしい山です。八ヶ岳の名前の由来は、たくさんを意味する『八』からというもの、文字通り八つの峰があるからというもの、いくつかの説があります。
さて、このキャッシュは赤岳鉱泉の近くに置きました。赤岳鉱泉から硫黄岳へ向かう登山道の近くです。
