Mr Bigollo's Bear Hunt - E Mystery Cache

Bigollo’s Teddy Bear has been kidnapped by his dastardly enemy Dudeney. He is hiding out in woodland, demanding money with menaces and taunting Bigollo to find him before it’s too late. Dudeney has left five separate cryptic ransom notes at five locations, each getting increasingly desperate. This is the fifth and last (E).

This cache is part of a series of puzzle caches (Bigollo’s Bear Hunt A to E) which can be completed individually or as part of a pleasant walk.

The clue above leads to the cache coordinates, the cache is well disguised and may take a little time to locate. This is deliberate as the area is popular with young muggles, not made any easier by poor GPS signals. Use the hint if the location is being troublesome. The difficulty rating is 5 for these reasons only; nothing is difficult about the terrain or accessing the cache.

The caches are all hidden in public woodlands around the Lake of the former Plumstead Manor House, latterly Little Plumstead Hospital and more recently derelict whilst awaiting redevelopment. Whilst the footpaths are obvious and easygoing on foot or by bicycle, the trails can be unsuitable for pushchairs unless the ground is hard and dry and the nettles and ferns have died down.
