Grand Valley is a ranching valley about 5 km west of Cochrane off highway 1A.
It is prime ranching land today but at one time a small scale railway brought lumber down to the main rail line from the rich forests at the upper end of the valley. Take in the spectacular views west over Grand Valley and toward the Rocky Mountains. You will definitely see cattle and if you watch long enough you will be sure to see deer, eagles, hawks and coyotes. The container is a camo'd metal cylinder.
