Eggedal Kirke
Eggedal Kirke er en langkirke av tre fra 1878, laftet opp av tømmer på grunnmurer av upusset naturstein og panel og har 300 sitteplasser.
Den er vakkert utsmykket med gammelt barokkinventar.
Kirken har rektangulært skip og smalere kor. Kirken ble noe ombygget og interiøret forandret i løpet av 1940-årene for å bringe en del av det bevarte, verdifulle inventar fra den gamle kirken, som lå på Hovland i Eggedal, i bruk i den nye kirken og gi interiøret mer preg av gamlekirken.
Koret og skipet fikk tønnehvelv av tre, og i korskillet ble gamlekirkens korskille rekonstruert.
Koret ble malt og dekorert av Carsten Lien, som også har dekorert kapellet ved siden av kirken.
Arkitektene bak kirken er Støren og Stenstrup.
Eggedal Church
Eggedal Church is a church of wood from 1878, notched up by on a foundation of unpolished natural stone walls and paneling and has 300 seats.
It is beautifully adorned with ancient baroque furniture.
The church has a rectangular nave and narrower chancel. The church was somewhat rebuilt and the interior changed during the 1940s to bring a part of preserved valuable inventory from the old church, which stood at Hovland Eggedal, used in the new church and to give the interior a touch of the old church.
The choir and the ship got barrel vault of wood, and the chancel screen was old church chancel screen reconstructed.
The choir was painted and decorated by Carsten Lien, who also decorated the chapel next to the church.
The architects behind the church is Støren and Stenstrup.
