We first started caching last year, and was instantly hooked. We soon decided we wanted to put out some of our own as well. But we could never decide on what type to do. This is our first cache and our first series as well. This series is dedicated to our favorite movie of all time. The 1987 classic love story, The Princess Bride. There are a total of 13 traditional caches in all. Each cache is themed from a different part of the movie with parts of the script on each. And as such, they are hidden in places that relate to certain aspects of the cache name. So you will be doing a little traveling around the valley for this series. Despite the descriptions of the contents of some of the caches, there is nothing dangerous or life threatening in any way. We tried to make this as close to the movie and still being fun too. All caches will be family friendly and accessible by all. We want you to enjoy this series as much as we have in putting it together. In one of the caches, we have also placed a copy of the movie as well. But unless you do the entire series, you won’t know which one it is or was lol. But if someone has already taken it before you get to it, the cache will be marked so you know where it was.

The only thing that I ask is that who so ever gets the FTF cache with the movie in it, PLEASE DO NOT MENTION IT IN YOUR POST!!!!!! But please mention it in the log book in the cache. To keep others guessing. The
Movie is yours for the taking......ENJOY!!!!!!

12. The Princess Bride -To The Pain!!!

Buttercup: Oh Westley. Will you ever forgive me?
Westley: What hideous sin have you committed lately?
Buttercup: I got married. I didn’t want to. It all happened so fast.
Westley: Never happened.
Buttercup: What?
Westley: Never happened.
Buttercup: But it did. I was there. This old man said “man and wife.”
Westley: Did you say, “I do”?
Buttercup: Um, no. We sort of skipped that part.
Westley: If you didn’t say it, you didn’t do it. Humperdink appears in doorway. Wouldn’t you agree your highness?
Humperdinck: A technicality that will shortly be remedied. But first things first. Draws sword. To the death!
Westley: NO! To the pain!
Humperdinck: I don’t think I’m quite familiar with that phrase.
Westley: I’ll explain. And I’ll use small words so that you’ll be sure to understand, you warthog-faced buffoon.
Humperdinck: That may be the first time in my life a man has dared insult me!
Westley: It won’t be the last. To the pain means the first thing you loose will be your feet at the ankles, and your hands at the wrists, next your nose.
Humperdinck: And then my tongue, I suppose. I killed you too quickly the last time. A mistake I do not mean to duplicate tonight! Moves forward.
Westley: Stopping him. I wasn’t finished. The next thing you loose will be your left eye, followed by your right.
Humperdinck: And then my ears, I understand, let’s get on with it!
Westley: Wrong! Your ears you keep and I’ll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child, at seeing your hideousness, will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman that cries out, “dear god what is that thing?” will echo in your perfect ears. That is what “to the pain” means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.
Humperdinck: I think your bluffing.
Westley: Possible, pig. I might be bluffing. It’s conceivable, you miserable vomitous mass, I’m only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. Then again, perhaps I have the strength after all. Stands and extends the sword in front of him. Drop...your ...sword!
