Ghindari
Ghindari (Hungarian: Makfalva, German: Eicheldorf) commune in Mureş County. Comprising villages are Ghindari, Trei Sate, Solocma, Abud, Ceie. It is first mentioned in 1507: „Georgius Dosa Siculus de Makfalva in sede Maros existente". In 1567 it is mentioned with 29 ports. It is situated 45km east to Targu Mures, 14km south to Sovata, on both sides of the road DN13/A. In 1910 it had 1821 inhabitants, in 1992 1471, in 2002 it had 1461 inhabitans, the commune had 5076 inhabitants.
Places to see:
- Its reformed church was built between 1925 and 1928.
- The Dósa mansion was built in 1813, today there is the Fülöp Dénes ethnography museum.
- The Wesselényi school's parcel was bought in 1834 by Wesselényi Miklós who gave it to the village and built there a school.
- The cellar gallery of Ghindari is in the cultural centre.
- In the center of the village there is a statue park, there is also the statue of Wesselényi Miklós and Dósa György.
