The trail to the Great Glacier winds through old forest through boulder zones before coming to the steep slopes of Avalanche Crest. Switchbacks help the hiker up the hill and out of the forest.
GPS reception in the big trees and under the cliff face will be inaccurate, so use the clue to find the cache.
