The A.O. Wheeler Hut was built by the Alpine Club of Canada to provide a base for exploration in the Rogers Pass area after Galcier House was closed. It was completed in 1945 and has served many hikers, climbers, and skiers for decades. It sleeps 24 - 30 and is used year round. The cache owner has stayed in the hut many times for winter backcountry skiing.
There is no need to go to the hut. The cache is located nearby.
