Na okraji Smetanových sadů v Jeseníku stojí výstavná novobarokní vila nebo spíš malý zámeček, který kdysi nesl název „Bergvilla“. Objekt byl reprezentativním sídlem rodiny velkopodnikatele Ernsta Regenharta [1] . Ernst Regenhart byl představitelem vídeňského bankovního domu, který za jeho otce Jacoba Regenharta zajišťuje místního textilního podnikatele a starostu Adolfa Raymana a založili spolu r. 1822 manufakturu na výrobu jemného plátna Regenhart-Rayman. Továrna dodala své výrobky po celé Evropě i do zámoří a zavedením strojového předení a tkaní i novými metodami chemického bělení získala časem na Jesenicku monopolní postavení. V letech 1893-94 byl Ernst Regenhart starostou a za rozvoj místního průmyslu a sponzorování školství mu bylo uděleno v r. 1906 čestné občanství [2]města Frývaldova (dřívější název města Jeseníku do roku 1947).
Dům byl postaven podle dochovaných plánů z roku 1898, tvořící autory byli známí vídeňští architekti bratři Karl a Julius Mayrederové. Realizaci provedl jesenický stavitel Alexander Nitsche a dokončil ji v roce 1899. Objekt je uváděn v odborné literatuře mezi slavnými vilami.
Jednopatrový dům stojí na plošině ve svahu nad říčkou Bělou a byl vyprojektován pro pohled ze všech stran. Fasáda je zdobena bohatou ornamentální štukaturou, jižní stěna je doplněna krytou a otevřenou verandou, na fasádě jsou obvyklé barokní motivy jako mušle nebo rostlinné ornamenty. Pod hranolovým arkýřem je na konzole umístěna kartuš s písmeny E (Ernst) L (Louise) a R (Regenhart). Hlavní vstup do vily je situován na severní stranu z Horovy ulice. Budova je architektonicky vyváženou a kompaktní stavbou s půdorysem ve tvaru písmene L. V přízemí se nacházely salony a provozní místnosti, v patře ložnice, pokoje pro hosty a koupelny. Dřevěné detaily interiéru kombinují inspirace ze severské neorenesance s prvky rané secese. Přes patrné stavební úpravy, které ovšem nijak výrazně nenarušují stylovou čistotu, je velmi pěkně zachován i sousedící zahradnický domek, který obohatil v letech 1899 – 1990 parkově upravený areál, z jehož výzdoby se část zachovala.
Textilní firma Regenhart – Raymann přešla 6. června 1945 pod národní správu a po jejím znárodnění podle dekretu prezidenta republiky z 24. října 1945 byl k 1. lednu 1946 zřízen podnik Tkalcovny a úpravny jemného lnu, národní podnik ve Frývaldově. Ve vile byly zřízeny podnikové dětské jesle, které zde byly až do roku 1989. V letech 1994 až 1995 byla vila nákladem 38 miliónů korun rekonstruována takřka do původní podoby a stala se sídlem VZP, která zde měla svou okresní pobočku do roku 2012. Od roku 2013 patří objekt firmě Vila Regenhart. Je zde wellnes hotel s restaurací.
Po vrstevnici, asi 150 metrů přes potůček směrem na jih, stojí další vila z „dílny“ architekta Karla Mayerdera, kterou si nechal postavit Erwin Regenhart (syn Ernsta Regenharta) v letech 1910 až 1920.
Jedná se rovněž o novobarokní sloh, ale výzdoba fasády už je jednoznačně secesní. Dům byl rovněž znárodněn, ale sloužil a slouží výlučně k bydlení.

On the edge of the Smetana’s park in Jesenik stands an imposing new baroque villa. The villa was formerly called “Bergvila” and it used to be a representative seat of a big businessman. His name was Ernst Regenhrt and he was a banker from Viena. Combining Jakob Regenhart’s finaces with Adolf Rayman’s textile companies, in 1822 the company “Regenhard&Rayman“ was founded. Fine linen was made for Europe and overseas in there. They used the modern methods of whitening, introduced a spinning machine and soon they acquired a monopoly. Ernst Regenhart was a mayor from 1893 to 1894 and in 1906 he was awarded the Honorary Citizenship for the impact on the development of local industry and for sponsoring education.
The house was built using the preserved plans from 1898, whose authors were famous Viennese architects, the brothers Karl and Julius Mayreder. They were implemented by Jesenik’s builder Alexander Nitsche and the building was finished in 1899. Now the building is featured within literature’s glorious villas.
The one-storey house stands on a plateau on a slope above the river Bela and was designed for a view from all sides. The facade is decorated with rich ornamental stucco, the southern wall is completed with covered and open porch on the facade of the usual baroque motifs such as shells or vegetable ornaments. Under the prism bay, there is a console cartouche located, with the letters E (Ernst) L (Louise) and R (Regenhart). The main entrance to the villa is located on the north side of the Josef Hora’s street. The building is architecturally balanced and compact structure with a floor plan in the shape of the letter L. The ground floor housed salons and operating rooms, upstairs bedrooms, guest rooms and bathrooms. Wooden interior details combine inspiration from Norse Neo-Renaissance with elements of early Art Nouveau. Despite the apparent structural modifications, which, however, do not significantly affect the purity of style, there is a very nicely maintained neighboring gardener's house, who enriched the decoration of the landscaped area in the years 1899 – 1990, and most of it has been retained.
Textile company Regenhart – Raymann the sixth June 1945 was put under the national administration and after its nationalization by the Presidential Decree on 24 October 1945, and on the first of January 1946, the national company of Weaving and treatment of fine linen was founded in Frývaldov. A nursery school for worker’s children has been established in the villa, and it lasted until 1989. In the years 1994 to 1995, the villa has been restored for total of 38 million crowns almost to its original form and became the seat of NGA, who had his district office there until 2012. Since 2013 the house has been owned by the Vila Regenhart company. There is a wellnes hotel with a restaurant now.
After contour line, approximately 150 meters south across the stream stands another vila from the "workshop" of architect of Karl Mayerder, which was built for Erwin Regenhart (Ernst Regenharta’s son) in years 1910-1920th. It also is a building of neo-baroque style, but the decoration of the facade it is clearly of secession.
