A nice drive from Mackay will bring you to the Gateway to the Pioneer Vally.  

In this area you will be able to find out more about the area in Melba House.  Much history of the valley can be found here.    It is the Pioneer Valley information centre.  Park where the memorial is and walk to the cache.
