**Update-10-5-2014** Now also remembering Willie, to whom we said goodbye on Friday. A cat for all ages and seasons - we miss him.
UPDATE: 7-19-2014: CACHE REPLACED. THANkS FOR REPORTING IT PEOPLE....Sellwood Riverfront Park begins your journey. Parking is provided. Dog owners welcome, at the off leash park or down the trail.
Or, for the intrepid, pull right in by boat - preferably canoe, kayak, raft, or rowboat. (Motorized, tie up at the public dock .3 miles to the south.)
Recall that long ago this whole area was paved over with wooden decking, the site of whatfs, commerce, and one of Oregon's oldest saw mills. Most of the houses in Sellwood were made from its wood. A ferry provided the only way across the river until 1925. See now the marvel of the recently moved bridge, and the newly constructed one under way.
From the park, follow the trail north, or if the water level permits, the small river beach. Both take you there. Peace is provided free. This hide sits on public property, within 2 arms' reach of solid footing. Kid friendly for little hikers. Beautiful rain or shine. If rainy, you will want slightly mud resistent footwear. A bit muggly on well traveled days. Enjoy...
PLEASE TAKE CARE TO RETURN THE CACHE WELL HIDDEN.
Congratulations on FTF!: Lady Orca & Charlie 2...
