We placed this cache as we reminisced about the many faces of Lamoille and Thomas Canyon. Many years ago, before the creek through the Thomas Canyon campground was re-routed by a mudslide, there was a two-track road up Thomas Canyon. The Forest Service has long since closed the road, blocked it with large rocks and now it is severly overgrown. The times spent up Thomas Canyon road are fond memorys for us.
The cache is placed at the end of what's left of the Thomas Canyon road-overlooking the Lamoille Creek. You do not need to cross the stream, nor will it be washed away during the high spring runoffs. It is a small ammo colored container hidden in like colored surroundings.
