Located in Quay County just off of U.S. 54 between Logan and Nara Visa, this cemetery cache is dedicated to the early settler, ranchers and fence builders who are buried here that devoted a part of their lives in developing the area. OBAR was a settlement, originally called Perry, that grew as a result of a railroad switch on the CRI & P Railroad.
OBAR was the brand for the once huge Circle Bar Ranch nearby. The post office operated here from 1907 to 1953. The New Mexico Land and Immigration Company at one time headquartered here. Remnants of several OBAR building foundations are on the westward side of the railroad.
We solicite your support as a volunteer cacher to place a "Spirit" cache at or near a cemetery of yiour choosing.
