Geocache Description:

Wollongbar is a small town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located on the Bruxner Highway between the towns of Lismore and Alstonville and sits at an altitude of around 160m.

The Wollongbar town gateway is now complete and was officially opened in May 2013. This gateways mark the entry to the picturesque towns of Alstonville and Wollongbar at each end of the bypass, and reflect the unique Indigenous and European heritage of the plateau. The gateway design, which includes landscape architecture, fencing and a variety of native plants, was finalised by Roads and Maritime Services with input from the community, Alstonville-Wollongbar Chamber of Commerce and Ballina Shire Council.

The cache is a small Bison tube and shouldn't provide too difficult a challenge. Please place back in exactly the same spot. There is no need to leave the path.
