I’ve been on these interesting urban outback waters a couple of times now.
The first time we kayaked from Herb and Dolly Smith Park (they have a very nice Kayak Launch dock and I have the parking cords posted) and paddled almost to highway G south of Breezwood after going under highway 41.
It’s very interesting going thru town in a Kayak, getting a different perspective and view that most people seldom see, along the way I came up with the term Urban Kayaking.
Down here on the southern part of the trip we encounter lots of wildlife; at ground zero we saw several ducks and geese.
Should be a fairly easy find, the difficulty will be getting to it. The water was about 18” higher the end of June, we scrapped bottom a lot and had to push thru a lot of weeds and muck tonight. So depending on the water level getting to the Cache may or may not be so fun.
Try to have fun and be safe!!
