Geocache Description:

A paddle cache in the west branch of the Westport River. Adamsville Landing has the closest parking and kayak launch all free of charge.

This cache is about a 1.5 mile round trip paddle from Adamsville Landing in Westport. High tide is the best time to attempt, low tide can be difficult with very shallow water and deep mud.

Please camo the container when replacing it. There should be plenty of sea grass washed up on the shore that can be used!

"Sarah" Island is owned by the Westport Land Conservation Trust. In 1972, recognizing the vital importance of Westport’s natural resources, and the need for community involvement in preserving them, a group of local residents formed the Westport Land Conservation Trust. The Trust's mission is To acquire and preserve natural resources, farmland and wildlife areas for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

There is no need to approach the nesting site on the island to find the cache so please avoid that area.
