Geocache Description:

Bonnet Bay Bash – series

I have placed a series of 10 caches around the shores of Bonnet Bay and Woronora which can be visited by canoe or, with the exception of one or two, by foot. Either way, the paddle or stroll is designed to take you to an area that I love and to provide a great way to get some exercise and enjoy nature for a few hours. No puzzles or pesky nano/micros here. Just straight-forward finds and paddling/waddling pleasure. Enjoy!

This cache was set on the “Point” as opposed to the small island across the channel to make it accessible to walkers and paddlers.

Perhaps the channel, which runs to a dead end at the Jannali Reserve Canoe Club, was dredged to fill the foreshore parks when the area was being developed? It provides a nice, protected run for the kayakers. If you paddle up that way, it’s close to the Batter Up! cache.

Just because there is deep water and lots of mangroves does NOT make this a good fishing spot.

Hope you enjoy your paddle or stroll around Bonnet Bay.

Congratulations to Jabiru62 for a quick FTF
