Geocache Description:

A micro cache placed on the day the CO achieved her 3000th find.

There are signs requesting that people keep off of the revegetated area - the embankment and some of the flat ground behind it. There is NO NEED to enter the revegetated area, so please park on the gravel pull-off and not the road, then find your way to gz.

Preston Peppermint Pitstop

The Preston River starts below Goonac Siding and flows into Vittoria Bay, and has a total length of 84.4 kilometres. Starting at an elevation of 219m, it flows in a north-westerly direction until discharging through Vittoria Bay into the Lescenault Estuary, and finally out into the Indian Ocean. The majority of the river catchment has been cleared for agriculture although some remnant forest vegetation exists at the headwaters.
