In the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy, this neighborhood lost a significant number of very old and very large trees.
This section of the Pedestrian and Cycling Path along the Wantagh State Parkway does not get a lot of pedestrian or bicycle traffic. But it is a nice walk (or ride) and will take you past some beautiful old trees that survived the storm. This cache is placed near a great example of one of the trees but there are certainly others along the path.
