Gemini Springs Park is a Volusia County Regional Park that encompasses 210 acres of natural beauty along the shores of Lake Monroe near the beautiful St. Johns River. The trails are lovely and peaceful! Park in designated parking areas and watch out for children running to the playground! The park is open from sunrise to sunset. You do NOT have to bushwhack to get to this cache! It is VERY close to the trail. Park in either parking lot. The cache is about the same distance from each lot.
The cache is a little, camoed Lock & Lock container. Please close all four sides tightly and put it where you found it. Thanks so much! Be sure to bring a pen for this one!
Stand in the shade of the lone Sabel Palm tree and enjoy the view of the water. Then turn around and you will see the cache in the palmetto. After you sign the log… take a minute to listen to the music of the trees! Listen to the birds… to the children laughing… the crunch of leaves as muggles walk by (watch out! ) Just enjoy the peace and music of the wilderness. We are glad to have this park so close and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
We'll start this little cache with a few handy little flashlights and a travel bug that is especially for our grandchildren. We hope that they can track it as it "springs" from here to caches worldwide!
Congratulations to Parkhoppers for being the FTF!
Thank you! Happy Caching!!!
PS… Our two pups want me to make sure that you know about the dog park at Gemini Springs Park! It’s shaded and beautiful… and has separate spaces for large and small dogs! Our pups love it! And so do we!
