(I am up the difficulty on this because cachers have having a hard time sporting this cache, but it there! Its just well hidden) For anyone that has been to Wabamun Lake, you know there is a very good chance you are going to see sail boats out on the water :) We used to live around this lake and our kids loved to walk down to the beach and watch the sailboats. This cache is placed in a day use area with a boatlaunch, no fire pits, its more of a nice grassy area to lay down a towel and soak up some sun. With the Sailboat club right near by this is the best place to see some of these beautiful boats during the summer.
This is #14 in a series we started over on the north side of Lake Ilse and have been slowly fanning out in our quest to raise Epilepsy awareness. Keeping with our Epilepsy awareness theme(Purple & Purple Butterflies), you are looking for a small purple bison tube. And it is going to require some stealth to locate as it can be a high muggler area at times. This is a small parking lot right by this little guy so I would condisder this bad boy pretty much a quick park & grab. Considering that this is a small bison tube, there is no writing tool in the cache so it is B.Y.O.P.Good luck geocachers, and enjoy the view of beautiful Wabamun Lake.
Epilepsy can strike anyone at any time and any age. It affects over 50 million people worldwide and 65-70% of the cases are Idiopathic, which means they have an unknown cause. A seizure is the brains way of protecting itself from a build-up of electricity in the brain its like pressing the reset button on a computer, the brain seizes to expel the built up electrity and reboots itself. You may find them scary and frightening to see but put yourself in the shoes of the person it is happening to and then you will know the true meaning of fear. There is many different kinds of seizures and modern day meds have found ways of controlling them for some people. Though is cases such our daughter with hard to control seizures, it can take multiple meds to gain control which cases other problems. It is said that 40% of all people with epilepsy will die a seizure related death(accidental while having a seizure, seizure complications and sudden death in epilepsy being amongst these causes).
