Geocache Description:

Cache is a small plastic box hidden outside the fence, there is no need to enter the garden and cachers must stay out of the flower beds!! However if the gate is open go in and look around, stay for awhile if the gallery is open or fireplace is going! There may be muggles during openings or other events, but a clever cacher can blend in with the art lovers to discreetly access the cache.

This Art Studio and Gallery space opened six years ago, on a 1/2-acre lot near an old iron smelter. Originally conceived as a place for artists in all disciplines to have a place to work, today, it is now home to 15 artist studios, and is unique because of the variety of disciplines. Photographers, woodworkers, metal fabricators and sculptors, painters and stone carvers all find their home here.

This cache is part of a series designed to introduce cachers to the River North Art District (RiNo). Each cache is located at or near a site where interesting artwork is created or displayed, or at a landmark within the district. Look for the orange "ART" RiNo's, and you will know you are getting close.

Located just north of Downtown Denver, RiNo includes a remarkable concentration of creative businesses, including architects, art galleries, ceramicists, designers, furniture makers, illustrators, authors, wineries, small-batch breweries, distilleries, urban agriculture, painters, media artists, performance artists, sculptors, photographers, and an array of studio spaces. While retaining its industrial roots, the RiNo neighborhood is now fertile ground for arts and artists.
