Geocache Description:

Welcome to Rush Creek Conservation Area!

Site closed Nov 21-23 and Dec 4-7

Located in Rush Creek, you are looking for a clear plastic container.  No tick worries but mosquitoes are BAD.  In fact, I had wanted to place this further in the site but I could not take it any more!!!

Blandings turtles are semi-aquatic, preferring to live in grassy marshes with shallow water.  Blandings turtles are box turtles but are sometimes referred to as semi-boxed turtles.  A Blandings turtle is sometimes called a semi-boxed turtle because the hinge doesn't work properly until the turtle is 3-5 years old

Permission must be obtained from the Conservation District prior to placing a cache on District property.  Call 815-338-6223 or visit www.mccdistrict.org/web/re-geocache.htm for more information on geocaching or to obtain more information about the program.
