Geocache Description:

This is an event on the Grand River. I'm giving it a Difficulty of 1.5 because it will be very easy to find us once in the area. However the only way to get to ground zero is to boat, float or trespass because the Grand in this area is surrounded by private property. Therefore it gets a 5 for Terrain.

By this time of year the river will likely be at its lowest point and the tree colours will be changing. The event will start at 9:30am and run until 9:45am. This will be a short meeting of about 15 minutes so don't miss it. It is sort of a river flash mob. We will gather on the stony shore, sign the log, then into the shallow area of the river for a group photo. Don't worry last weekend the area was only about 4 inches deep. This area is about 1 km down river from the put in at (N43 06.617 W80 14.702). After the event you may wish to paddle back up river the 1km or continue down and find the caches along the way.
This is the longest Ox Bow on this UNESCO world heritage river. Lets enjoy it together.
