Follow the abundant signage to Castlegar’s golf course. As you climb Aaron Road take the gated dirt road on the right just before the road crests the hill. A sign there says the gate can be closed after 9 PM. There’s also signage asking the public to respect the fact that this is a watershed. Follow the dirt road around the back of the golf course and a short distance past the power transformer station. The last short section looks a little daunting but it’s easily accessible to even small cars. Parking is right beside an access point to the Skattebo Reach Trail.
We hid this cache when we geo-hiked from Glade to Castlegar.
Along the way we hid the caches that we had brought with us. We hid our last cache at the trailhead to the Doukabour waterline and continuned on. On the way we found a water bottle that some one had lost,we picked it up and were going to drop it off at the trailhead. As we hiked along we found a wonderful spot that just needed to have a cache. We searcheed our packs and came up empty. Light bulb went off in my head and we emptied the water bottle we found and used that. We put in what ever swag we had with us,which wasn't much and hid the cache.
Co-ords were taken with my Iphone as our batteries in the gps were dead.
