How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The River Axe estuary is a haven for wildlife, the mix of freshwater and saltwater marshland provides a habitat to attract all sorts of birds.

It is a popular feeding ground for ducks, waders, oyster catchers, herons, little egrets and kingfishers.

Plus Axmouth is a wonderful village with two great pubs, an ancient church, nearby beaches and much, much more!

Inspired by the TB Hotel on Table Mountain, the Smithies were determined to open a hotel of our own! The cache will be lovingly maintained by my wonderful in-laws, Big Bob and Doreen.

The cache is full of goodies, TBs waiting to start their journeys around the world. If possible, please put a TB in when you take one out. Please be careful of bird watching muggles when accessing the cache. Please enjoy your stay and Trip Advisor reviews are always welcome!

Update on 24th September 2013: thanks very much to my Mum, Ian and Mel for adding some new items to the cache, including scrabble tiles. Cachers are welcome to take a bag of tiles and not individual letters from each bag. The tiles in each bag then make up a word which means something to the COs! Please feel free to drop us an email with your answers...Have fun!
