IT: L’Alta Badia è la terra di diverse leggende ladine. A pochi metri dal cache ha inizio un percorso avventuroso, dove si potranno conoscere diverse di queste leggende. Ne manca però una importante, che vogliamo raccontarvi.
DE: Alta Badia ist der Ort vieler ladinischer Sagen. Nur wenige Meter vom Cache entfernt startet ein Erlebnisweg, bei dem ihr mehrere dieser Sagen kennen lernen könnt. Eine wichtige fehlt aber, und die wollen wir euch hier erzählen.
EN: Alta Badia is the place of many Ladin legends. An adventure trail starts just a few metres from the cache, where you can learn several of these legends. However, an important one is missing, and we want to tell you about it here.
IT: C’era una volta al sud delle Alpi un regno ricco e spensierato, in cui tutti gli abitanti erano felici. Solo il figlio del re aveva un desiderio ardito: voleva andare ad ogni costo sulla Luna! Un giorno il principe stava passeggiando nel bosco, quando incontrò due uomini anziani, erano due abitanti della Luna che gli parlarono della loro terra.
Sulla Luna era tutto di un bianco luminoso e risplendente. Il principe venne condotto dal re della Luna e non appena vide la sua bellissima figlia sene innamorò immediatamente. Già poco tempo dopo tuttavia, la luminosità della luna ferì i suoi occhi ed egli dovette ritornare sulla terra. Egli portò con sé la principessa della Luna come sua sposa.
La principessa adorava i prati colorati e i bei laghi alpini blu, però le scure vette delle montagne la spaventavano. Ella si ammalò gravemente e dovette ritornare sulla Luna. Quando fu là tuttavia le venne presto nostalgia di suo marito. La stessa cosa successe al figlio del re sulla terra. Egli continuava a vagare per i boschi e un giorno vi incontrò il re dei salvàns (gnomi). Egli gli raccontò del suo triste destino, cioè del fatto chi il suo popolo dei salvàns era stato bandito e che non trovava nessun posto in cui stare. Anche il figlio del re gli parlò del suo dolore. A questo punto il re dei salvàns sobbalzò e gli disse: “rallegrati principe, siamo entrambi salvi! Se tu ci permetterai di restare nel tuo regno, faremo in modo che le pareti rocciose tenebrose riflettano il chiarore della luna. L’accordo venne concluso con una stretta di mano. Nella notte seguente i salvàns iniziarono a raccogliere raggio per raggio lo splendore della Luna. Iniziarono a tesserlo e ricoprirono di un manto argentato le rocce tenebrose. Altri salvàns iniziarono a far scendere questi fili argentati dalla sommità lungo i declivi delle montagne e li fecero scorrere lungo i lati, ricoprendo così l'intera montagna di una rete luminosa.
Il principe riportò sua moglie sulla Terra ed ella non ebbe mai più nostalgia di casa, perché adesso si trovava nel paese dei Monti Pallidi, che era ancora più bello delle sue vecchie terre. I Monti Pallidi continuano ad esistere e vengono oggi chiamati Dolomiti. Il regno in quanto tale si è disintegrato da tempo, ma i salvàn continuano a vivere tra le rocce e nei boschi di questa terra dalla bellezza indescrivibile.

Se voi vi guarderete un po’ intorno rispetto al nascondiglio dove si trova il cache, vedrete i Monti Pallidi di cui si parla nella leggenda.
Sollevando e nascondendo il Cache dovrete prestare particolare attenzione a non essere osservati.

DE: Es war einmal ein Königreich im südlichen Alpenlande, reich, sorglos, und alle Bewohner waren glücklich. Nur der Königssohn hatte einen sehnlichen Wunsch: er wollte unbedingt den Mond besuchen. Eines Tages weilte der Prinz im Wald, als er auf zwei alte Männer traf, zwei Mondbewohner, die ihn mit in ihre Heimat nahmen.
Auf dem Mond war alles strahlend weiß und leuchtend. Der Prinz wurde zum Mondkönig geführt, und als er dessen wunderschöne Tochter erblickte, verliebte er sich sofort in sie. Doch schon nach kurzer Zeit griff das helle Mondlicht sein Augenlicht an und er musste zurück auf die Erde. Die schöne Mondprinzessin nahm er als Gemahlin mit.
Die Prinzessin war entzückt von den bunten Wiesen und den blauen Bergseen, aber die finsteren Berggipfel lasteten schwer auf ihrer Seele. Sie wurde sehr krank und musste auf den Mond zurück. Dort packte sie jedoch bald die Sehnsucht nach ihrem Gemahl. Und genauso ging es dem Königssohn auf der Erde. Er irrte in den Wäldern umher und eines Tages traf er dort auf den König der Zwerge. Dieser erzählte ihm von seinem traurigen Schicksal, nämlich dass sein Zwergenvolk vertrieben worden war und nirgendwo eine Bleibe fand. Auch der Königssohn berichtete von seinem Leid. Da sprang der Zwergenkönig auf und rief: „Freue dich Prinz, wir sind beide gerettet. Du gibst uns die Erlaubnis zum Aufenthalt in deinem Reich und wir sorgen dafür, dass die dunklen Felswände in hellem Mondlicht erstrahlen.“ Der Bund wurde durch Handschlag besiegelt. In der darauf folgenden Nacht fingen die Zwerge das Mondlicht Strahl für Strahl ein. Sie begannen das Mondlicht zu spinnen überzogen damit die dunklen Felsen. Andere Zwerge fingen an, die glänzenden Fäden von den Gipfeln über die Abhänge herunter zu ziehen, dann gingen sie um die Berge herum und hüllten diese so in ein Lichtnetz ein.
Der Prinz holte seine Gemahlin auf die Erde, welche nie wieder vom Heimweh erfasst wurde, denn nun war es im Land der bleichen Berge schöner als in ihrer Heimat. Die bleichen Berge stehen noch heute und man nennt sie die Dolomiten. Das Königreich als solches ist längst zerfallen, doch die Zwerge hausen immer noch in den Felsen und Wäldern dieser unsagbar schönen Gegend.

Und wenn ihr euch an dem Platz umseht, an dem der Cache versteckt ist, könnt ihr rundherum die bleichen Berge sehen, von denen in der Legende die Rede ist!
Achtet beim Heben und Verstecken des Caches darauf, dass ihr nicht beobachtet werdet, der Platz ist stark vermuggelt.

EN: Once upon a time, there was a kingdom in the southern Alps: rich, carefree and all the inhabitants were happy. Only the king's son had an ardent wish: he really wanted to visit the moon. One day, the prince was in the forest when he met two old men who lived on the moon, and who took him to their home.
On the moon, everything was brilliant white and shining. The prince was taken to the king of the moon, and when he saw the king's beautiful daughter he immediately fell in love with her. But after a short time, the bright moonlight attacked his eyesight and he had to return to earth. He took the beautiful moon princess with him as his wife.
The princess was delighted by the colourful meadows and the blue mountain lakes, but the dark mountain peaks weighed heavy on her spirits. She became very ill and had to return to the moon. However, she was soon seized by a longing for her husband. And the king's son on the earth felt the same about her. He wandered around in the woods and one day he met the king of the dwarves there. The king told him of his sad fate, namely that his dwarfish people had been expelled and had nowhere to stay. The king's son also told of his sorrow. The king of the dwarves jumped up and shouted, "Be happy, prince, we are both saved! You give us permission to stay in your realm and we will make sure that the dark rock faces shine in bright moonlight." The bond was sealed with a handshake. The next night, the dwarves captured the moonlight, beam by beam. They started to spin the moonlight to cover the dark rocks. Other dwarves started to pull the shining threads from the peaks and down the slopes, then they walked around the mountains, enveloping them in a net of light.
The prince fetched his wife back to earth, and she was never homesick any more because the land of the pale mountains was more beautiful than her home. The pale mountains are still standing and they are called the Dolomites. The kingdom as such fell apart a long time ago, but the dwarves are still living in the rocks and forests of this unutterably beautiful area.

And when you look around at the place where the cache is hidden, you will be able to see the pale mountains of the story all around you!
Make sure that you are not observed when digging up and hiding the cache, because there are lots of Muggles in the area.
