iamryno: This poor cache may have been doomed from the start, and doesn't appear to have survived the winter. For the fortunate few who were able to claim a "found" congrats. That being said, the spirit of this cache still rings true for me, and that's why I've posted a new replacement cache. I'd encourage you to try and fine Family Fun Hunt Revised (GC52C1Y), the kissing cousin to this cache. It's not far from where this cache once stood.

Geocache Description:

A traditional grab and go cache... or you might say a fun introduction to geocaching, as this ought to be quick and easy.

As a geocacher with a small child, who loves "treasure hunting", I appreciate cache hides that are designed to be quick and easy and kid friendly. This particular cache was hidden with that intent in mind.

Parking is easily accessible and abundant (a key when hunting with younger children). The cache is the size of a film canister, because it is a film canister (does anyone even know what a film canister is any more?). While the location is somewhat isolated, Muggles are afoot, so be aware and be wise how you go about hunting for the cache. You'll want to bring your own pen/pencil, as there is little room for more than just the log book. Please be sure to replace the cache as found, and make sure the log is nicely sealed in the plastic baggie. Thanks!
