MBT - Down by the Riverside Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoKs: With all the new trespassing signs going up in Canmore; many of the caches in the Mystery Bike Tour have been archived. This cache was put in place to allow cachers to do a loop in completing the series. The need no longer exists so we have opted to archive this one.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This camouflaged small container is the sixth stop in our Mystery Bicycle Tour (MBT) comprised of 8 individual geocaches and the final mystery cache. Please refer to GC4GZG4 MBT - Gimme Shelter for suggested route information.

This cache is placed near a popular playground - favourite with both kids and elk!

NOTE: If you are visiting Canmore and staying nearby, it's possible to start the loop from this cache and then carry on to stops 7, 8, 1, etc., collecting information as you go to determine the coordinates of the final and then to locate the final without doing much doubling back. Then you could find the remaining standalone caches on your ride back to town.

BYOP. Also, make note of the information at the top of the log sheet, as you will need it to determine the coordinates for the final cache. We have adjusted the hiding spot as cachers have, over time, altered the initial hiding spot to the point it did not function as initially conceived.

NOTE: This area is frequented by wildlife, including elk, deer and occasionally coyotes, bears and/or cougars. Please be WILDSMART - make lots of noise while riding and carry bear spray.
