Geocache Description:

Built in 1950 as a small walk up hot dog stand called Peg's Hots.
In the late 60's early 70's it was The Clam Shack.
Then in the late 70's to the early 80's it was Jack Daniels.
It was in the late 80's that Jack Daniels was converted into something else.

Here are some true stories from the days I grew up living on Irondequoit Bay….and yes, they are true.

Growing up down on the bay was fun as a kid and there was always something to do.

My dad lived down here and on weekends we stayed with him. Over the years we
would turn the corner and know we were almost to dad’s house.

As we got closer we passed the Clam Shack. At the time I didn’t know the joy
of eating little neck clams dripping with butter.

Over the years we saw the building change from name to name.

We also had a great time watching the train go by. What is now a small park used
to have railroad tracks on it. Many a penny went on those tracks. Then one day where
the park now is, the train came off the tracks and that was the end of the railroad.

The park they made is very nice but few probably remember the train derailment.

You are looking for a small container that is hopefully well hidden.
No need to leave your boat.

For some reference points…
