Lemon Grove's Dairy Traditional Cache
Cookie & Bruiser: Looked like recent groundskeeping activity. Didn't find any sign of the cache. We decided to archive this one. Glad it brought back some memories for some geocachers.

At one time there were 15 dairies in the Lemon Grove area! The largest and longest-lived was Miller Dairy, started in 1926 by Charles Miller "with one cow and a lemon orchard." The dairy grew to 300 cows and in the 50's there was a drive-through window for the purchase of dairy products. With the growth of supermarkets, the dairies gradually dwindled; and in 1984, the Miller Dairy closed. We're sure some geocachers remember this dairy! (And the dairy's milk bottles are quite collectible.)
The land was sold and in 1985 became the Miller's Ranch subdivision. This seemed like a good area to place this cache. It is a small cache, near a lamppost, and contains a little "milk money" for the FTF.
