Cache is hidden where one can watch trains heading towards downtown Denver. With luck, one might even see historic steam engine 844 as it heads to Cheyenne for Frontier Days. The building here was originally an old warehouse, now converted into art studios. It is usually quiet on this obscure little street with heaviest concentrations of muggles during art openings and events, so stealth must be your friend.
This cache is part of a series designed to introduce cachers to the River North Art District (RiNo). Each cache is located at or near a site where interesting artwork is created or displayed, or at a landmark within the district. Look for the orange "ART" RiNo's, and you will know you are getting close.
Located just north of Downtown Denver, RiNo includes a remarkable concentration of creative businesses, including architects, art galleries, ceramicists, designers, furniture makers, illustrators, authors, wineries, small-batch breweries, distilleries, urban agriculture, painters, media artists, performance artists, sculptors, photographers, and an array of studio spaces. While retaining its industrial roots, the RiNo neighborhood is now fertile ground for arts and artists.
