Trailhead starts on county road 20, parking at (N 48 05.226 +W 090 44.503). A short uphill hike of about a quarter mile places you on the winter dog sled trail, look left and notice the tower, trail continues behind NE corner of tower. Don’t be tempted to take the board walk.
Hike offers some great scenery of Lonely Lake and Gunflint Lake. Gunflint Lake is a border lake between Canada and the U.S. Border was determined by the French Voyageur as they canoed their furs to Lake Superior for trade.
