Geocache Description:

Tolminski Migovec

balkon z razgledom / balcony with a view

S povezavo jamskih sistemov Primadona in Migovec so tolminski jamarji 24. oktobra 2015 celotno raziskano področje podzemlja Migovca "podaljšali" do dolžine 35.800 m.

Dostop: Najlažji dostop je iz vasi Tolminske Ravne (Hribi.Net - 3h, zemljevid).

Tolminski Migovec the 1881m high mountain, whose image varies greatly, depending on the side from which we observe it. The mightiest are the western slopes which descend deep into the valley of river Tolminka. The southern slopes just below the crest are mostly rocky, while the lower slopes are adorned with the mountain meadows of pasture Kal. From the East and even more from the North its dynamic peak slopes stretches respectively towards Tolminski Kuk and fall in the valley below Škrbina.
Under Tolminski Migovec was discovered currently the longest cave system in Slovenia (hence the nickname Votla gora  - Hollow Mountain) with more than 35 km of explored interconnected passages, followed by Postojna Cave system with “just” little more than 20 km.

Access: The easiest access runs from the village Tolminske Ravne (3h, map). The journey may be rounded passing Tolminski Kuk and Škrbina to the mountain pasture Razor. The mountain hut there offers excellent food one must taste before descending to the starting point.

The cache is small Lock & Lock container with initial content: logbook, pencil (please do not remove) and few trading items.
