The village of Wicklewood, together with the hamlet of Crownthorpe, lies to the west of Wymondham, within South Norfolk. The village church, All Saints, is situated to the west of the village, and forms part of the High Oak benefice. With a population of 886 residents, and covering 875 hectares, this thriving community benefits from from many local facilities.
Wicklewood supports a recently extended pre-school and primary school. The village benefits from a Village Hall, built in the 1970′s, as well as a large village playing field and children’s play area. Many regular groups use these facilities, and there is a fine bowling green situated directly behind the Village Hall, in the High Street.
Further down from the pub in the High Street is the Wicklewood windmill. On occassions the windmill have open days to have a look around although please check direct for opening days/times.
The starting point for the geocache is to park at the village hall, located in the High Street. There is a childrens play area there too so for those with children why not combine the 2 for a cheap afternoon out!
