Back in 1960
It's name is related with a famous restaurant, Budapesta, closed since early '90, a place which gave birth to many urban legends (human food served, best waiters came from here etc).

Few years back
The square was renewed couple of years ago and now it looks almost like a place worthy to visit.
Places to see nearby:
- "Slobozia" church
- Dimitrie Cantemir statue
- Europa Clock (moved from University square)
- A beautiful resting place, with few benches and a nice fountain.
In your wandering through Bucharest, you may find a cache waiting for you here.
