Stacyville Pear Tree Cache Traditional Cache

This particular Geocache is located nearby a very old Pear Tree found in the town of Stacyville.  The Stacey Pear Tree is a very old (Close to 250 years old) and remarkably healthy tree, the only pear tree on an old farm near a much younger apple orchard. As its name implies, it is in Stacyville, a neighboring township to the northwest of Benedicta.  This Pear Tree is very special to our family and a very interesting piece of  Maine History.

We placed the geocache in a location remote to the Pear Tree but not IN the actual Pear Tree itself.
