Ballyandreen Bay is one of many small bays along this stretch of coast. While it may be a stretch of the imagination to describe this as a sandy bay, many water based activities take place here including kayaking, swimming and there are ample rock pools for crab-fishing for the youngsters when the tide is out.
You could either approach this as a cache and dash - there's a small car park for about 7 cars very close by, or you could make it a destination for a walk along the spectacular Ballycotton Cliff Walk, starting out from the ample parking at Ballycotton (with another cache along its route to boot). There's a picnic table very close by too.
The cache container is a re-purposed bottle stopper and is hidden low down in what looks like the remains of a small building.
