Geocache Description:

The cache is down by the creek. There are fossils on the other side, so feel free to cross and take a look. I also placed an example of the fossils next to the cache.

I placed this cache for a very noble reason. This reason is to raise awareness for the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus. They are a very, very rare species of amphibious octopi that often spend time on land, usually in trees. Because they are so rare, very few people have ever heard of them, let alone seen them. More information about these rare, unique creatures can be found here: (visit link) Please, tell your friends, family, neighbors, even that weird guy who sits in the cubical down the hall from yours. People need to know about them, so that maybe the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus may be enjoyed by generations to come. And as people living in the Pacific Northwest, it is our duty to protect these magnificent creatures.
