Geocache Description:

A small cache a couple miles up Kent Springs trail in Madera Canyon.

The Kent Springs trail used to be a road. On maps that show the boundaries of the Santa Rita wilderness area, it can be seen as a protrusion of non-wilderness into that area. I've been wondering why no one has placed a cache there, so I finally got around to putting a cache there myself.

Because of the local topography, I would not be surprised if the coordinates I recorded are not quite accurate, but that should not matter. They will get you close enough to spot the huge old burned-out but still living sycamore tree where this cache resides.

Getting close!

There... somewhere.

Enjoy the hike, and keep an eye out for all the birds, bears, and other critters that may be in the vicinity.
