The turnoff for the Norman/Dahl Lake parking lot is easily missed...It is 11.8km from the Berman Lake Regional Park parking lot (just happened to be where I was when I thought to record it lol). Follow my failsafe directions and I'll get you there *coughs* Drive for 10+km or so. There will be a yellow Norman Lake Community Watch sign on the left...start slowing down a bit you maniacs. You're getting close, I promise! Soon you will see a spray-painted sign up in a tree,on the right, telling you to Slow Down. DO THAT. On the left will be a tiny square brown regional park sign. Do like the pioneers did and turn your big ol' automobile left onto what looks like a goat path/horse trail. Don't worry, it's not actually rough driving though I imagine it might get slippery when wet. VOILA! A parking lot complete with an outhouse! (bring your own tp. You'll thank me.)

Why have I brought you here down this bumpy dirt road, you ask? Well. It is my favourite lake to go kayaking. No, not Norman. It's too big and burly for me. However Dahl Lake is Norm's delicate cousin! And this is the only place you can get to it from. There is a creek that connects Dahl Lake to Norman Lake and is ONLY accessible by tossing your kayak or canoe into the shallow waters of the beach....and 9 times out of 10 that means that you'll have this huge lake all to yourself (not that I ever go BY myself. My mother would hunt me down...)

Anyways, park your car, have a stretch and have a looksee for this cache before you wander down to the beach to have a look at Norman (and the trail to other caches if you desire). Check out the giant stump (only about an inch high) of what was once a MASSIVE tree in spitting distance of the cache (has nothing to do WITH the cache...I just thought it was cool)
